ELIXIR-Europe brings together European bioinformatics resources to support data-driven life science research. This makes it easier for scientists to find and share data, exchange expertise, and agree on best practices.
Resources include databases, software tools, standards and tools for data interoperability, guidelines for data stewardship, courses and training materials, and computational services.
In ELIXIR, 23 European countries work together using a ‘Hub and Nodes’ model. The ELIXIR Hub, based in the UK, coordinates the work across ELIXIR.
ELIXIR-NL, the Dutch Node
ELIXIR-NL is the Dutch Node of ELIXIR. A Node is a network of organisations that work within a member state.
The Dutch Techcentre for Life Sciences (DTL) is the lead organisation coordinating the ELIXIR activities in the Netherlands, drawing on its network’s extensive bioinformatics resources and knowhow.
ELIXIR-NL puts focus on:
ELIXIR-NL is part of the strategic Dutch national roadmap for scientific infrastructure and an active partner in the global FAIR movement.
