Health-RI User Panel

The aim of the Data and Services User Panel is to gain insight (reality check) into the needs of the users of Health-RI with regards to the services offered by Health RI.

What is a User Panel?

User Panel is an (in)formal group of users who can give solicited and unsolicited active feedback on the services offered by Health RI. The recommendations are informative but not binding and are intended as a sounding board for Health-RI within current developments.

Who are the members of this group?

The group will typically represent the target audience or user base for Health RI. In our User Panel we include the following diverse User Panels:

  1. Researchers (e.g., PI, post-doctoral or PhD fellows, research scientists, engineers and principal scientist): They will make use of health and life sciences data and services to advance their knowledge around a specific research topic or problem or develop products or services based on health and life sciences data.
  2. Data/service experts (e.g., Data stewards,Data managers, Quality A. officer): They will make use of health and life sciences data and services for maintenance, and enforcement of appropriate policies, standards, and procedures for the use of data throughout a data life cycle.
  3. Health care professionals (e.g., Physician, nurses): They will make use of health and life sciences data and services for better diagnose, treatment and prevention of patients’ illness.
  4. Patient organizations (representing Patients/ Citizens): They are the pillars of our data infrastructure, thus their confidence and involvement is needed at all stages of development of data infrastructure.
  5. Funders (e.g., ZonMW; European union, Health~Holland): They enable and stimulate reuse, translation and dissemination of research data and outcomes.

Why do we create a User Panel with our users?

At Health-RI, we are dedicated to developing services that truly resonate with our end-users. User panels contribute to the user-centred design process, where the users will play a central role in shaping the design and functionality of our services. This approach results in solutions that are more intuitive, user-friendly, aligned with user expectations, and at the end more acceptable by the users once deployed.

How do we execute our User Panel sessions?

We will conduct User Panel sessions time to time with different group of users depending on the agenda and the topic for the session. We will focus on topic, for example, (i) expectations and needs of the users towards our health data services catalogue, (ii) how and where do the users see themselves using Health-ri services during their research journey, (iii) Usability testing of our National health data catalogue to understand the user-friendliness and ease of use for our users.

When do we conduct our User Panel sessions?

User Panel session will be planned according to current and upcoming developments within Health-RI and its services.

Soon we will promote any planned sessions on this website. Once we have planned any session, we will also send a personal email with the information about the session to the people who have already registered to be a part of our user panel.

In the meanwhile, you can check all the updates about our planned user panel sessions here. We hope you will help us with your expertise and insights.
