About Health-RI

Health-RI serves as the national coordination point for agreements on the reuse of health data, stimulating cooperation between all parties and supporting researchers.

Our vision is based on the potential of better data reuse. By combining data from various sources, such as clinical and lifestyle data, a deeper understanding of the complexity of disease and health can be gained. This leads to the development of better treatments and products, ultimately improving the health of citizens and patients.

At Health-RI, we strongly believe in the power of collaboration. We bring together all relevant parties, including healthcare professionals, policymakers, patient organizations, researchers, and industry. Only by building a common vision and approach can we realize the necessary agreements and the health data infrastructure. This approach ensures that the needs and perspectives of all stakeholders are considered, and that the agreements and developed infrastructure align with the actual needs and challenges in healthcare.

Within Health-RI, we work on a comprehensive range of services and facilities aimed at supporting organizations and researchers. This includes a national system of agreements, a centralized portal for finding, requesting, and obtaining data, training, and expert advice on ethical and legal matters. We maintain close collaborations with national and international partners to collectively build knowledge and facilitate seamless data exchange between countries.
