Q&A Session March 31st - new funding call for TDCC LSH Challenge Projects

News News

Health-RI coordinates the Thematic Digital Competence Center Life Sciences & Health (TDCC-LSH), which is an NWO-funded program aimed at strengthening and harmonizing digital research practices across life sciences, biomedical sciences, and health sciences domain in the Netherlands.

In the period 2023-2024 we have had a very successful TDCC-LSH project call. You can find more information about the submitted and granted projects on the TDCC website.

We are pleased to share with you the news that the Dutch Research Council (NWO) will launch a new 2025 funding call to support the digitalization ambitions of Thematic Digital Competence Centres (TDCCs) and the communities we serve. This presents an exciting opportunity for teams working on FAIR research data, research software, digital infrastructure, and digital competency development to secure funding for their projects or initiatives.

How to apply?

To apply for NWO funding, all project proposals must include a TDCC domain-specific submission letter. To obtain this letter, applicants must first go through a community selection and refinement process within each relevant TDCC. More details about this process can be found on the TDCC webpages. Please note, that while the final NWO submission deadline is 20 November 2025, the process to obtain a TDCC-LSH submission letter begins much earlier (28 April 2025). We strongly encourage you to review the details as soon as possible to ensure you meet all requirements.

Only projects that have successfully completed the TDCC selection process will receive a submission letter that is required to apply to NWO. Don't miss this opportunity—start preparing early and submit your idea to the TDCC’s to maximize your chances of success!

Q&A session 31st of March 2025

To help applicants navigate the process, we are also hosting domain-specific Q&A session on 31st of March 2025 (more information: Q&A Session details).
