Data Management for Research in ELIXIR (DATAREX)
Research Data Management (RDM) is crucial for implementing FAIR and Open Science principles. ELIXIR Platforms, Nodes, and other structures have invested in RDM, resulting in valuable tools and resources. The RDM Community aims to bring together RDM professionals to coordinate ELIXIR's activities and develop its vision.
The short-term objectives include:
- creating a knowledge exchange forum,
- coordinating the RDM ecosystem,
- focusing on RDM training and data brokering.
To achieve these goals, project DATAREX (Data Management for Research in ELIXIR) will facilitate knowledge sharing, develop resources for RDM service providers, coordinate RDM training and content, and make recommendations for enhancing data brokering services. This project will empower RDM professionals and contribute to improving research data management practices.
The DATAREX (Data Management for Research in ELIXIR) project is a 2-year project that started January 2024. The project includes participation from 19 national ELIXIR nodes and is funded through ELIXIR Europe, under the ELIXIR work program 2019-2023.
Health-RI is host of the ELIXIR Netherlands (ELIXIR-NL) node. In this project we work together with 18 other national ELIXIR nodes on Research Data Management, which essential for a solid and FAIR data infrastructure for health and life science in the Netherlands and across Europe. The project is co-lead by Mijke Jetten who leads the Data team in Health-RI and co-leads the ELIXIR Research Data Management (RDM) Community.
