BBMRI.nl supports researchers in making biomaterials, images, and associated data available for conducting biobank research. In addition, it helps researchers find the biomaterial and associated data they are looking for. 

Costs

Each UMC has its own financial structure regarding issuing samples and/or data. Please contact the regional Biobank coordinators of UMCs that have samples available that you are interested in if you want more information. 

Review procedure

Biobank research assessment has historically been inconsistent, with each center using different procedures and documentation. The UMCNL Mutual Recognition project (Mutual Recognition (of biobank assessment) | Health-RI) was developed to standardize and streamline this process, and it is now in the implementation phase. Please contact the Institutional Review Board before submission or contact your regional Biobank coordinator.
