ELIXIR People Pulse

People development and capacity building is essential to ensure  long-term performance and innovation capacity of research infrastructures. The aim of the ELIXIR PeoplePulse project is to build a dynamic and knowledge-based community of professionals capable of successfully addressing the challenges of the rapidly evolving bioinformatics and data-drive life science landscape. The People Pulse project is a collaborative project with ELIXIR nodes across Europe.

The ELIXIR People Pulse project is an ELIXIR funded project and is built on the People Tier of ELIXIR work program 2024-2028. The People Tier has the ambition to develop people and capacity to benefit science and society, including: 

  • Management and operational staff
  • A divers people network

Health-RI, host organization of ELIXIR-NL, leads Work package 4 of the People Pulse project: Expanding and consolidating a course portfolio for ELIXIR Training in Management (ELITMa). 
Health-RI leads both the coordination of this entire ELIXIR-wide portfolio as well as the module on Node Data Management. The ELITMa course portfolio is growing into a flagship portfolio in ELIXIR with training modules covering all aspects needed by staff in the ELIXIR nodes, including: Project Management, Financial Management; Node Data Management (lead by Health-RI); Communications; Leading teams in ELIXIR; Legal & ethical issues, Carbon Footprint module, Impact module.

Health-RI colleagues from the teams International, Life Sciences, International, FAIR data, and Training & Capacity Building are contributing to this project.
The project runs for 30 months, from July 2024 till December 2026.
